Legendary goalkeeper Ahmed Belkorchi is no more

Marrakech – The national sports scene has just lost a pearl of football which marked the 70s, the legendary goalkeeper Ahmed Belkorchi, known under the pseudonym “Chaoui”, we learned from his family.

The deceased was one of the best players to have worn the colors of the KACM and national team jerseys in the 1970s, especially during the finals of CAN 1972 in Cameroon and the 1974 World Cup in Munich.

He also distinguished himself during the 1972 Olympics in Munich, until the CAN qualifiers in 1996.

Born in 1952 in Derb Dhabashi from a Marrakech family, Chaoui joined the KACM at the age of thirteen, before wearing the national team jersey within the generation of Becho, Persians, Khalifa, Zahrawi, Boudjemaa , Cala….
