A budget of 209 million dirhams has been mobilized to build 3 bridges at Oued Martil and connect them to the road network.
Carried out within the framework of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, the Ministry of National Land Use Planning, Town Planning, Housing and of the City Policy, the Oued Martil Valley Development Company and the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima Region Council, this project includes the carrying out of technical studies and the construction of a bridge to connect the RN 16 to the route de Tétouan and the Touibla district bridge.
The project, whose execution is scheduled between 2022 and 2025, also provides for the construction of a pedestrian bridge, the construction of a 1.25 kilometer road and the development of the cornice between the Touibla district bridge and the pedestrian bridge.
The Oued Martil Valley Development Company will be responsible for providing the land required for the project, while financial contributions from stakeholders will be made as the project progresses.
A coordination committee responsible for monitoring the work and chaired by the Wali of the Tangier–Tetouan-Al Hoceima region will be created for this purpose, and will hold meetings every six months.
In accordance with the agreement, the stakeholders also agreed to adopt a participatory, fluid and efficient approach, in order to avoid any obstacle to the smooth running of the project.
