Throne Cup 2019-2020: AS FAR in the final

Agadir – AS FAR qualified for the final of the Football Throne Cup, season 2019-2020, by beating Raja Béni Mellal (ٌ RBM / Botola Pro D2) on the score of 1 goal to 0, Sunday in semi-final played at the Grand Stade d’Agadir.

The only achievement of the meeting was the work of the Ivorian Joseph Gnadou with a superb half-volley (35th).

The soldiers, who want to win a 12th title in this competition, the last of which dates back to 2009, have stepped up the assaults in order to double the stake, in particular through Jalal Daoudi and Gnadou, but they were slowed down by the porter and the mellalis defense.

Raja Béni Mellal’s burst of pride at the end of the game was insufficient to hope to reach the final.

RBM had eliminated Hassania Agadir (2-0) in the quarter-finals, while AS FAR had gained the upper hand over Raja de Casablanca (5-3, tab, 1-1 regulation time).

The second semi-final will oppose the Wydad of Casablanca and the Moghreb of Tétouan tonight at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, who are looking to save their season after their relegation to Botola Pro D2.
